Maine Hockey Heads West

With a rich tradition of excellence in hockey, the Illinois West High School Hockey League (West) is one of the leaders in player development and opportunity. After enjoying the privilege of representing their high school on the ice, many of our athletes go onto play competitive levels of junior and college hockey after graduation. The West league coaching, level of competition, and development produces some of the top hockey players in Illinois. In 2016, 14 West players were selected for the AllState Team, with a West athlete taking home the AllState Game MVPAward. In addition, 5 players were also chosen for the Illinois Showcase team. The teams of West are well represented in the state championship games, boasting 4 state championship teams since 2012.
