Jim Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship

Fall 2025/2026

In honor of Jim Fitzgerald, a beloved former coach and dedicated member of the Maine Hockey community, the Fitzgerald family has established the Jim Fitzgerald Memorial Foundation. Jim's lifelong commitment to coaching and mentoring youth extended far beyond ice hockey; he was driven by a deep passion for sports and a desire to ensure that every child had the opportunity to play.

For the Fall 2025/26 season, the Jim Fitzgerald Memorial Foundation is proud to offer up to three scholarships to support players in the Maine Hockey program. Each scholarship recipient will receive a monetary award of $1,000.

Applications are due November 21, 2025 at midnight. Notification of recipients will be posted on MaineHockey.org website on December 5, 2025.The presentation of the monetary awards will occur at the end-of-season banquet.
